For me, it is essential through the winter to have a few plants within easy view in the greenhouse or on a window ledge. The succulents and other tender plants are stood outside during the summer and this little plant can sometimes be lost amongst its bigger relatives.  Once back inside the greenhouse and onto the bench, though, you can appreciate how beautiful the cream and green rosettes are.  The mature leaves have a distinctive pink edge around them.  I can’t justify the energy that would be required to mollycoddle them in a heated greenhouse, so I keep them dry and wrap horticultural fleece around them when it is very cold.
